FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY is about Oklahoma music legend, Patti Page and is based on interviews with Page and written by Oklahoma artist (and UCO Faculty member) Greg White. FLIPSIDE was selected from nearly 3,500 national productions to attend the 2012 Regional & National Kennedy Center Festivals. The piece won numerous honors at the Kennedy Center, including Best Musical. After receiving the Kennedy Center honors, FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY was invited to perform at the prestigious 59E59 Theaters in New York City in December 2012. 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) is thrilled to welcome The Pleasance to Brits Off Broadway with NINA CONTI: TALK TO THE HAND, written by Ms. Conti and Bill Dare, directed by Mr. Dare and featuring Ms. Conti with Monkey & Granny. NINA CONTI: TALK TO THE HAND begins performances on Tuesday, November 8 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 13. Press opening is Thursday, November 10 at 7:00 PM. Primary Stages will present the New York premiere of Motherhood Out Loud, conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein. Primary Stages launched its 27th season last week, August 16, with the World Premiere of a work commissioned by the company, the new comedy, Olive and the Bitter Herbs by Charles Busch directed by Mark Brokaw.The five-me mber cast features Dan Butler as Trey, David Garrison as Robert, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylvan. Performances run through Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues).
