APS Films has announced the World Premiere of Zack Wilcox's Hunting Lands at the 2018 Cinequest Film & VR Festival. Set and shot in the woods of a Michigan winter, the film follows a group of exciting young actors on a collision course with each other and destiny. Hunting Lands will premiere at Cinequest at the Century 20 Redwood City March 3rd.

Songwriter and Playwright Zack Zadek Receives VCCA Fellowship

Zack Zadek of Brooklyn, NY, has been awarded a fellowship by the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). The VCCA is located near Sweet Briar College in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in rural Virginia. Zack Zadek will be among approximately 25 Fellows focusing on their own creative projects at this working retreat for visual artists, writers and composers.

Those are the questions that one family is faced during a fateful road trip in the new musical DEATHLESS which opens at Goodspeed's Terris Theatre in Chester on June 2. I had the chance to sit down with the writer, lyricist, and composer of DEATHLESS, Zack Zadek and talk about his inspiration for the show, the process of bringing a new musical to life, and the emotional themes on display in this new production.

Briefs is a unique venture in St. Louis that brings together numerous directors and theatrical artists to showcase the work of eight different playwrights all under one roof. Briefs presents theatrical work that address the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning people. Their move from Webster Groves' Nerinx Hall to becoming part of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation family in the burgeoning Grand Center Theatre District is the perfect kick-off to this milestone year.
