Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) hosted its first-ever full student matinee, on Thursday, October 20 at 11 a.m. Students from seven middle and high schools from throughout the region attended a special performance of the Playhouse’s acclaimed production of “Evita,” followed by a talk-back session with members of the cast and educators from the Playhouse. Continuing Centenary Stage Company's 2022 Fringe Festival is the Fat Knight production of My Witch: The Margaret Hamilton Stories, running October 20 through 30. I had the honor of seeing the original Broadway cast of the Tony-winning musical Ragtime as my very first Broadway show. So, as you can guess, I am absolutely ecstatic to see that the Bay Street Theater added it to their fantastic mainstage season this year. This well done and heart rendering incarnation is excellently directed by Will Pomerantz - who also serves at Bay Street's Associate Artistic Director - and runs through August 28th at the gorgeous Sag Harbor venue.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2022, Bay Street had a kickoff cocktail party celebrating the start of their Summer season! Hosted by Tracy Mitchell with creatives from bay Street's first summer Production, Windfall, Emmy nominated composer and writer of Windfall Richard Kind, and comedy legend and director Jason Alexander. Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, Board members, and patrons all gathered by the water to celebrate the return after two years of virtual or socially distanced shows. Both Scott Schwartz and Tracy Mitchell spoke at the party about the upcoming season and marked the true return to theatre at Bay Street!

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the addition of playwright and producer Josh Wilder as Artistic Associate. Josh will originate this newly created position alongside Artistic Director Scott Schwartz and Associate Artistic Director Will Pomerantz, and newly added Literary Manager, Hope Villanueva, to develop Mainstage productions, new works, and special projects on behalf of Bay Street Theater.
