The Bridges of Madison County, a new musical, based on the best selling novel by Robert James Waller, will begin performances on Monday, January 13, 2014, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), with an opening night late February 2014. This story about a devoted Iowa housewife and her unlikely love affair with a National Geographic photographer has inspired seven of the theater's most distinguished artists to create a new Broadway musical. DTC Announces FLY BY NIGHT Cast, Featuring Whitney Bashor

Dallas Theater Center announced today the complete cast and creative team for the new rock musical, Fly By Night, directed by Bill Fennelly. This often funny and sometimes deeply moving tale follows a group of New Yorkers during the 1965 blackout. Will Connolly, Michael Mitnick and Kim Rosenstock's vivid characters question the direction of their lives, try to make their dreams come true and fall in love all to the tune of fresh, catchy and original songs. BWW Interviews: Christopher Smith -Musical Makes an 'Amazing' Journey to Goodpseed

AMAZING GRACE is getting a run at Goodspeed Musicals' developmental Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT with an eye toward hitting Broadway. This might seem like a lofty goal given the large scale of the production in a struggling economy that has producers holding on tightly to their investment dollars (even smaller musicals can cost tens of millions of dollars to produce in New York). And the material is religious to boot (religious-themed shows have a hard time getting favorable reviews on the Great White Way.) Given the nothing-short-of-miraculous journey of the musical, so far, however, all things may be possible.
