The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced its 24th season of world-class performing artists. The season includes 51 performances of 31 shows from a wide range of genres including Broadway, classical music, dance, theater, world music and jazz, comedy, holiday performances, folk music and shows for families. Brooke Shields to Direct CHICAGO at Hollywood Bowl; Runs 7/26-28

Brooke Shields has been announced as the director of the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of CHICAGO, which holds the record as the third longest running show in Broadway history. Rob Fisher has also been announced as the conductor of the production. Shields starred in CHICAGO both on Broadway and in London's West End and this marks her directing debut. Fisher's association with the show began with the 1996 Broadway revival and he continues to be supervising music director of CHICAGO productions around the globe. (more...)

Multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ed Asner and Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee Marion Ross (Happy Days, Brothers & Sisters, Gilmore Girls), join an award-winning cast for a limited-time performance of a new sitcom, I've Got a Life in Kalamazoo, produced by the Emmy award-winning team of Teresa L. Thome and Patrick W. Ziegler of fubble entertainment, LLC. The performances take place at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (MBC) today, April 13 and tomorrow, April 14, and will be filmed in front of a live audience, which will be used to pitch the show to network executives.
