Tiny Dynamite to Present THE COUNTRY, 6/20-7/1

Walnut Street Theatre concludes its landmark 203rd season with an all-new production of Broadway’s BUDDY: THE Buddy Holly STORY. Directed and choreographed by Casey Hushion, the show began previews on May 15th and opens on May 23rd, running through July 15th on the WST Mainstage. Christopher Sutton (Buddy), says this is the first time in the history of the Walnut Street Theatre that the same actor has played the same role twice. Sutton plays opposite his wife Lyn Philistine as Maria Elena. See photos of the couple and the rest of the cast on stage below! (more...)

Pittsburgh CLO Announces Full Casts of Local Productions - Starring Sally Struthers, Hunter Herdlicka, Liz Callaway and More!

Pittsburgh CLO has announced casting for its summer season, which includes six shows, featuring the national tours of Come Fly Away and The Addams Family, and CLO original productions of A Chorus Line, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof and Sunset Boulevard. Notably, A CHORUS LINE brings on board a slew of the show's national tour veterans, ANNIE stars Sally Struthers as Miss Hannigan, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF features Broadway's Lewis J. Stadlen, Susan Cella, Hunter Herdlicka, Joel Robertson, Emily Shoolin and Kay Walbye. Liz Callaway and Walter Charles are set to star in SUNSET BOULEVARD. (more...)

Julie Reiber of Broadway's PRISCILLA to Release Debut CD, 4/24

JULIE REIBER – the singer and actress currently playing Marion in Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Broadway at the Palace Theater – will release her debut solo album on Tuesday, April 24. Love Travels is a mix of her original tunes, musical theatre favorites by such composers as Jason Robert Brown ("Still Hurting"), Adam Guettel ("Through The Mountain") and Stephen Schwartz (the special bonus track "Defying Gravity") – each with a special twist – and reinventions of Reiber’s favorite artists including Stevie Wonder ("Knocks Me Off My Feet"), Chaka Khan ("Stay"), John Mayer ("Back To You") and Joni Mitchell ("Little Green"). She will celebrate this new recording with a concert at Rockwood Music Hall the following night, Wednesday April 25. The $20 ticket price includes a signed CD.
