Out of the Box Theatrics' Founding Artistic Director, Liz Flemming, announced today that their new production of Sybille Pearson (book), Richard Maltby, Jr. (lyrics) and David Shire's (music) heart-warming musical, Baby, will extend its limited engagement through Saturday, December 21, 2019 due to strong ticket sales.

Out of the Box Theatrics' Founding Artistic Director, Liz Flemming announced today that Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley will lead the cast of a limited NYC engagement of Sybillie Pearson (book), Richard Maltby, Jr. (lyrics) and David Shire's(music) heart-warming musical, BABY. Directed and choreographed by Ethan Paulini, the production will play a site-specific loft in midtown Manhattan (14 W 45th Street) Friday, December 6 through Saturday, December 14, 2019. North Shore Music Theatre has announced complete casting for the upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterwork, SUNSET BOULEVARD, which will star the previously announced Alice Ripley as the fading Hollywood star, Norma Desmond.

Out of the Box Theatrics' Founding Artistic Director, Liz Flemming announced today that Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley will return to the role of Trisha Lee in their production of Elise Forier Edie's The Pink Unicorn in collaboration with Nancy Manocherian's the cell (338 W 23rd Street) Tuesday, August 13 through Sunday, August 25, 2019. Directed by Amy E. Jones, Ripley initially played a critically acclaimed limited engagement of the production, which was ultimately extended, in May 2019. Tickets currently on sale.

The students of London School of Performing Arts' Performing Arts Communication major of batch 20, class 2B (hence LSPR PAC 20-2B) will bring the musical SIDE SHOW on August 8th and 9th, 2019, at the AMANI PALLADIUM THEATRE, Bekasi. This musical is part of the 12th LSPR PAC FEST where LSPR PAC students will produce and perform a variety of shows.

Alice Ripley returns to The Green Room 42 on July 20th with her solo performance, Ripley Prescription for Love and Recovery. The Tony winning actress will be joined by music director Brad Simmons for the evening.

Previews begin May 9 at the Episcopal Actors' Guild with opening slated for May 15.

Spring has sprung here in DC. The cherry blossoms are in bloom, Lawmakers are doing whatever they do and my favorite area art education institution The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts is gearing up for their  spring musical production. This year as part of the Creating a Musical Role class The Theatre Lab will be presenting the Bill Russell/Henry Krieger cult musical Side Show with performances starting on May 2nd and running through May 11th.
