Vineyard Theatre's annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary, took place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday night, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktails at 6:00pm, dinner at 7:30pm and performance at 8:30pm). Vineyard Theatre's annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary, will take place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktails at 6:00pm, dinner at 7:30pm and performance at 8:30pm). Single tickets (starting at $750) and tables of 10 are available by contacting The Vineyard's Development Office at 212-353-3366 x242 or development@vineyardtheatre.org. The Vineyard Theatre has announced its annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary. This milestone event will take place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktail reception at 6:00 pm, dinner @ 7:30 pm., and performances beginning at 8:30 pm). Single tickets (starting at $750.00) and tables of 10 are available by contacting The Vineyard's Development Office at 212-353-3366 ext. 242 or development@vineyardtheatre.org. Jacobs-Jenkins Wins Vineyard Theatre's 2011 Vogel Award

Vineyard Theatre will present its 4th annual Paula Vogel Playwriting Award to emerging playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, author of the play NEIGHBORS and an adaptation of THE OCTAROON, it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Director Douglas Aibel and Associate Artistic Director Sarah Stern.

Photo Coverage: Davis, Olivo et al. Honor Nottage with Steinberg Playwright Prize

This week, top theatrical talent paid tribute to playwright Lynn Nottage, recipient of the 2010 ‘Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award', presented by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust. Scenes highlighting Ms. Nottage's work (including Ruined, Intimate Apparel and a preview of her upcoming By The Way, Meet Vera Stark) were performed by actors Quincy Tyler Bernstine (In the Next Room), two-time Tony Award-winner and Oscar-nominee Viola Davis (Fences, King Hedley II), Kimberly Hébert Gregory (The Brother/Sister Plays), Russell Hornsby (Intimate Apparel), Tony Award-winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story, In the Heights) and Condola Rashad (Ruined). The 3rd Annual ‘Mimi' Awards were be presented at a ceremony at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center Theater. BroadwayWorld was on hand and brings you photo coverage below. (more...)
