Donna Murphy is heading to the Upper East Side! According to OK Magazine, the star of stage and screen has joined the cast of the HBO Max reboot of Gossip Girl- due to arrive later this year. Murphy will play the headmistress of the school.

Downtown Urban Arts Festival/DUAF has announced the top winners from its 18th season including Oregon-based Melissa Rose won Best Play for her play Baggage and Brandice Peltier (from New Jersey) won Best Short Play for Grocery Run. In the film category, Skin, directed by Guy Nattiv, won Best Short Film.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts announced today that it is one of a select group of not-for-profit arts organizations participating in a livestream concert event, Christopher Jackson: Live from the West Side on Saturday, August 15 at 5 p.m. PST. Jackson is a Grammy and Emmy Award- winning songwriter/composer and a Tony Award-nominated actor best known for originating the role of George Washington in the cultural phenomenon Hamilton. Tickets for Christopher Jackson: Live from the West Side will go on sale Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. PST.
