The Outer Critics Circle (OCC), the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications, is pleased to announce the winners of the 72nd Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards, honoring the 2022-2023 Broadway and Off-Broadway season. The Outer Critics Circle has announced the nominees for the 72nd Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards, honoring the 2022-2023 Broadway and Off-Broadway season. Leading the pack with the most honors of the season is the Broadway musical New York, New York, with twelve nominations. WEBSTER'S BITCH by Jacqueline Bircher will run at Playhouse on Park May 31 - June 18, 2023. This production will be directed by Vanessa Morosco. WEBSTER'S BITCH is a part of Playhouse on Park's 14th Main Stage Season, the theme of which is Perseverance. This season highlights stories of fighters and survivors, to coincide with the Playhouse's journey of persevering through the pandemic. The Presenting Sponsor of Playhouse on Park's 2022-23 Season is The Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

The LGBTQ Horror-Comedy SUMMONING SYLVIA, now playing in twenty-one cities, is hosting a special screening and talkback with the cast on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:40 am at Regal’s flagship cinema in Union Square. Cast members Frankie Grande, Veanne Cox, Noah Ricketts, and Camden Garcia will be discussing the film and taking questions from the audience after the screening.

Written and directed by Wesley Taylor (Smash, The Spongebob Musical, soon to recur on Hulu's 'Only Murders in the Building') and Alex Wyse (Marvel’s Iron Fist, soon to join Broadway's Good Night, Oscar), the LGBTQ horror comedy Summoning Sylvia stars Michael Urie, Frankie Grande, Veanne Cox, and more. Mr. Holland's Opus is a world premiere new musical currently running at the Ogunquit Playhouse based on the 1995 motion picture of the same title. It is a story set in San Francisco in 1969 about a successful musician and composer, Glenn Holland (Akron Watson) who switches careers to become a first-time music teacher at John F. Kennedy high school so that he can spend more time with his wife, Iris (Anastasia Barzee).

The 25th anniversary celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella will feature members of its all-star cast – Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox. Following the news special, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the first time on television in more than two decades.
