STAGE TUBE: R.Evolucion Latina's 4th Annual D2GB Performing Arts Camp by BroadwayWorld TV - Jul 21, 2011
R.Evolución Latina's D2GB (Dare to Go Beyond) Children's Performing Arts Camp concludes tomorrow with a very special celebration at El Museo del Barrio. R.Evolución Latina, who has been featured on NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams in a segment called 'Making a Difference', is a collective of artists and activists committed to empowering the artistic community in order to inspire growth within the Latino Community through collaboration, productions, and educational support programs. An added focus to this year's camp is health awareness and the importance of physical activity as we address the growing concern of obesity in our Latino children. 'Through the arts, we will empower the youth to recognize the importance of leading and maintaining a healthy life' says Camp Coordinator Ali Solomon. This free camp will provide more than 150 underserved children ages 7-17 the chance to experience the arts through classes taught by NYC and international artists from the theatre, music, dance, and Latino communities. 'This camp is very inspiring and also fun... It's like a mission that we have to accomplish during this week, I'm just loving everything about it.' said Rosa Fermin one of the students. (more...)

VP's BLOG: Toxic Emeralds by VP Boyle - Sep 27, 2010
Welcome to Oz where there are two kinds of sparkly green. The first (and most wonderful) is the sparkle that comes from your family, friends and colleagues that wish you joy with every molecule of their body. They are the keepers. The jewels in your crown adventure that add luster and light to anything you do. They will champion you whether you rise or whether you fall and love you just the same. They come in all sorts of surprise colors and shine. They can be sapphire blue, emerald green, amber yellow, ruby red and the brightest of white diamonds. They can be co-workers at your survival job, the man that got away, the young gal at your stage door every night or even someone from afar that you will never meet.

VP's BLOG: THROW ME A STICK by VP Boyle - Sep 21, 2010
I think dogs really get it. They have their priorities straight and live totally in the moment. Life is an awesome combination of eating, sleeping, playing, pooping and hanging out with people who love you. Throw in some snow, an old shoe to chew, a good stick to fetch, some crotch sniffing and the world is their oyster. Sign me up for that life in the next round-

VP's BLOG: GLEE, GOD & BEING GAY by VP Boyle - Aug 23, 2010
I'm constantly fascinated by people. I should be since it is inherent to my job as a coach, champion and artist. As a storyteller, we have to observe and study the world in which we live so that we can draw inspiration from it in powerful ways.

VP's BLOG: Inner Posse 101 by VP Boyle - Aug 18, 2010
Building your team or support network is a two way street. It starts with understanding of what you need personally, professionall, creatively and spiritually. Denying that you need to create a team, a tribe or your own little (or huge) network of like-minded individuals is deadly. A support network is a group of colleagues who provide guidance and assistance to one another throughout their lives and/or careers. Some people call it networking. I think 'networking' is an ugly word. Networking is collecting cards and names with only a 'what can they do for me' attitude. It's greedy and everyone on the planet can smell that kind of oily from a mile away. I'm up for creating and contributing to my community. I believe in legacy. You have to give more than you take but you also have to learn how to make requests. Giving is receiving and vice versa. By designing your own support network, you can tailor it to suit your needs but first ask yourself these questions: (more...)
