Freeform's BLACK-ISH Spin Off Gets New Name; Casts 3 New Series Regulars

Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, adds three series regulars to “grown-ish,” a spin-off of ABC's award-winning hit series “black-ish,” starring breakout star Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, from ABC Signature Studios. The 13-episode, single-camera comedy will start production next month and is set to premiere early 2018 on Freeform and the Freeform App, available on connected TV, mobile devices and online.

The stars were shining in Hollywood for the 2016 Looking Ahead Awards on Tuesday night at the beautiful Taglyan Complex, where over 300 guests enjoyed exciting "blue carpet" arrivals, fabulous cocktail hour, fun photo booth, delicious gourmet dinner and a meaningful celebrity-studded awards ceremony. The event raised over $50,000 in support of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program.

Netflix unveiled its expanded slate of diverse originals making their world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, which will include four original features, one original documentary feature, and episodes of two hotly-anticipated doc series. With a roster of talent including Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, Jason Segel, Rooney Mara, Robert Redford, Elijah Wood, Rashida Jones, Melanie Lynskey, Riley Keough, Jesse Plemons, and Alfre Woodard, the titles selected for Sundance Film Festival highlight the diversity and breadth of creativity found at Netflix.
Tony Winner Idina Menzel to Perform at White House's Annual Easter Egg Roll

Tony winner and FROZEN star Idina Menzel is among the talent for this year's Easter Egg Roll, which will take place on Monday, March 28th, on the South Lawn of the White House, it was announced today. To honor the final Easter Egg Roll of the Obama Administration, this year's theme will be 'Let's Celebrate.' The event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and, of course, Easter egg rolling.
