Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director Jim Bredeson, Managing Director) today announced the cast for their next REVELATION READING, Victor Hugo'sHernani, translated by John Strand: Frankie J Alvarez, Ryan Garbayo, Anthony Martinez, Ismenia Mendes, Luis Moreno, Pedro Pascal, Tony Plana, and Matthew Saldivar, under the direction of Ethan McSweeny, on Monday January 15th at 7:30 PM at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).

The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of the electrifying play, OEDIPUS EL REY in collaboration with The Sol Project as part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. Written by Luis Alfaro and directed by Chay Yew, the show has been previously extended two weeks through Sunday, December 3, with an official press opening tonight, October 24.

The Sol Project, the new New York-based theater collective raising visibility for Latinx playwrights, has received funding to support the initiative's first production, Hilary Bettis's Alligator, directed by Elena Araoz, presented in collaboration with New Georges at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres, November 27-December 18, 2016.
America Ferrera & More Set for 2015 Theatre Lab at Sundance Resort

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors that are participating in its 2015 Theatre Lab, which kicked off yesterday and runs through July 26 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community and is one of 24 residency Labs the Institute hosts each year for independent artists in theatre, film, new media and episodic content.
