Two special industry-only readings of ZAPATA! The Musical have been announced and will take place in New York City on April 15 and 16. Luke Caliente Productions will present the new musical which has music and lyrics by Peter Edwards with a book by Peter & Ana Edwards. Direction will be helmed by J. Scott Lapp.

City Theatre continues its 40th anniversary season with a witty "have and have-nots" comedy. Elemeno Pea, by Molly Smith Metzler, directed by City Theatre Artistic Director Tracy Brigden, will run on the Mainstage February 28 - March 22, 2015.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. The New York Musical Theater Festival, Stella Entertainment and Quill & Quaver Associates will present the world premiere of the new Australian Musical, THE MAPMAKER'S OPERA, based on the novel 'The Mapmakers Opera' by Bea Gonzalez, with a dynamic score based on Gypsy Flamenco, Latino and regional Mexican infused musical styles, today, July 9-20 at the Pearl Theatre, 555 West 42nd St.

Following a whirlwind week in May auditioning talent from Pittsburgh and New York City, Front Porch Theatricals and Carrnivale Theatrics announce their cast for their upcoming production of In the Heights. The cast of 25 hail from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, New York, Florida, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania, and includes eleven ensemble members and five principals who have roots in Pittsburgh (including nine students from Point Park University and five from Carnegie Mellon University).

Viva Broadway, an initiative of the Broadway League, in collaboration with 5000 Broadway Productions and the United Palace of Cultural Arts presents In The Heights: In Concert, a special, one-night only benefit concert at the United Palace of Cultural Arts in Washington Heights tonight, February 11th at 8pm.

Joining composer-lyricist and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda on stage will be original Broadway cast members Christopher Jackson, Karen Olivo, Olga Merediz, Robin De Jesus, Mandy Gonzalez, Andrea Burns, Seth Stewart, Janet Dacal, and Eliseo Roman. BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 played Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre last night at 8pm. The show featured some of Broadway's biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing songs written for women.
