Although they had to close their doors to inside shows on March 13th, move/cancel more than 120 shows so far (equaling a loss of more than $3 million in ticket income), and cancel their Summer Gala, the other big fundraiser that they depend on, The Ridgefield Playhouse, a nonprofit theater in Ridgefield CT, is not going to let the hard times of COVID-19 get in the way of celebrating a giant milestone.
Greg Dulli's Debut Solo Album RANDOM DESIRE is Out Now
by Kaitlin Milligan
- Feb 21, 2020
For the last 30 years, Greg Dulli, frontman of The Afghan Whigs and The Twilight Singers, has been the poet laureate of the bizarre whims and cruel tangents of desire. A foremost authority on the sell-your-soul rewards of carnal lust, the high voltage epiphanies of chemical enhancement, and the serotonin lows left in their wake.

If you were looking for chill that about tops the list of good chill. The other night in the Birdland Theater Harkness turned a series of (mainly) 70s songs that hearken back to the golden age of Classic Rock into his own personal showcase on 'how to play a guitar.'
Greg Dulli Shares New Single 'It Falls Apart'
by Kaitlin Milligan
- Jan 30, 2020
Today, Greg Dulli, frontman of The Afghan Whigs and The Twilight Singers, releases “It Falls Apart,” the second single from his first-ever solo record, Random Desire out February 21st via Royal Cream/BMG.“'It Falls Apart' allows itself to get pulled into its darker inclinations. Perpetually falling piano notes grip at the melody, miring it in a sense of inevitable collapse. Even so, the synthesizers and drums push upward, giving Dulli's vocals something to hook onto as he sings,” said Consequence of Sound. Earlier this month Dulli also released an All That Jazz inspired music video for Random Desire's lead single “Pantomima,” directed by long-time Whigs collaborator Philip Harder. Watch the video below! Random Desire is now available for pre-order.

David Hasselhoff Asks the World to 'Open Your Eyes' in New Single
by Abigail Charpentier
- Sep 10, 2019
Although most recognizable for his starring turns in the hit TV shows Knight Rider and Baywatch along with numerous feature film appearances (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, Kung Fury, Click, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Dodgeball, and Marvel's original Nick Fury: Agent Of Shield, among others) and roles on Broadway and the West End in productions of Jekyll & Hyde, Chicago and The Producers, megastar David Hasselhoff is ready to tackle a different role - the role of passionately earnest pop star singing for a new global consciousness in these difficult and troubled times. It's a role not unfamiliar to Hasselhoff whose historic performance of the chart-topping single “Looking For Freedom” on the rubble of the newly fallen Berlin Wall in 1989 became a rallying cry not just to a reunited Germany but for all of the burgeoning democracies that were swept up in the winds of change.
