Producer Mark Cortale's Broadway concert series, hosted by Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky, has announced that Tony Award nominee and star of The CW's Supergirl Jeremy Jordan will join the internationally acclaimed series at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco this season on Sunday.

Napa Valley's Frank Family Vineyards has been awarded "Winery of the Year" for a second time by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine in the publication's "Best of 2017" January issue. The periodical, published by Charles Olken and Stephen Eliot, has been reviewing wine since 1974 and reviews thousands of wines each year. The Connoisseurs' Guide selected Frank Family Vineyards based on its resounding, across-the-board success in 2017, saying, "Of the twenty-two Frank Family wines reviewed this past year, each received starred recommendation with three earning three-star status and thirteen garnering two-star. More remarkable yet, the collection of wines covered the varietal spectrum from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay to Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Petite Sirah and, for good measure, included a brace of beautifully crafted sparklers as well." The lab will launch on Thursday, July 6 and will culminate with closed presentations today, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 (presentations by private invitation only).

Songwriters Sam Carner and Derek Gregor return to 54 Below on June 2nd for a 9:30 concert of their songs from various upcoming projects.

There are audible sighs of pleasurable recognition from the audience at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center (on March 30) when Liz Callaway's band plays opening bars from "The Story Goes On" (Baby)." Songwriting partners Richard Maltby & David Shire have been "in" Liz Callaway's life since she was a teenager with exposure to her parents' extensive Barbra Streisand collection (the icon sang Maltby/Shire) and a recording of Starting Here, Starting Now. Her first New York cabaret presentation (at The Duplex) opened with "Just Across the River" from the revue. That show lead to an audition for a piece directed by Richard Maltby Jr. which eventually paved the way for Callaway's role in the collaborators' musical Baby. The young actress thought she was helping out writers she admired by letting them hear new material out loud, but, in fact, was auditioning. (This is actually not difficult to believe.) And the rest is history.

Just in, multiple-time Tony and Drama Desk nominees Kate Baldwin, John Cariani, Marc Kudisch, Julia Murney, Mary Testa, Max von Essen, will be some of the performers at Transport Group's annual gala, 'Gimme a Break!' on March 7, 2016.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and OBIE Award-winning theatre company, has announced its annual gala Gimme a Break!, and will honor 5-Time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa and TheaterMania.com and its CEO Gretchen Shugart, on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the New York Times Center, 242 West 41st Street with the Transporting American Theatre Award for their significant contributions to the American Theatre.

Tchaikovsky's classic ballet THE NUTCRACKER will be reimagined in a two-hour TV movie adaptation set in the Big Apple. Deadline writes that Adam Shankman is working on the project for NBC, with BANDLSAM's Todd Graff writing the script.
