District Stage Company will present Broadway Unplugged: World Jam on Friday, May 30 at 8:30 PM and Saturday, May 31 at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM at South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211 Street in Cutler Bay, FL. Broadway Unplugged: World Jam is an intimate evening packed with songs from electrifying shows to hit the Great White Way in recent decades with Broadway stars Adam Kantor, Kevin Mambo, Janet Dacal and Andy Señor, Jr., under the musical direction of Greg Brown, with special guests Jeremy Charvet, Carlos Jose Alvarez, Jeanfranco Cardenty and Isabel Signoret.

Following a sold-out appearance at Rockwell: Table and Stage in April, Janet Dacal brings her intimate evening of American Songbook classics infused with Cuban rhythms back to Rockwell: Table and Stage this Saturday, May 3rd at 8pm.

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce the casting of award winner Christine Lahti (Running on Empty, Swing Shift,Chicago Hope) in this fall's world-premiere drama Pride in the Falls of Autrey Mill, written by Paul Downs Colaizzo (Really Really). Lahti, whose acclaimed 30-year career in theatre, television and film places her in the highest echelon of American actresses, joins this fall's production under the direction of Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn, who returns to Signature for the first time in nearly twenty years. Wingspan Pictures' President Rachel Diana and CEO K. Rocco Shields announced today the appointment of Executive Producer Franco Sama of Samaco Films as Executive in Charge of Motion Pictures and Television. Sama is the latest addition to Wingspan's successful production team. Sama is a seasoned producer whose recent films include 'Guns, Girls & Gambling' starring Gary Oldman and Christian Salter, and 'Petunia' starring Thora Birch, Christine Lahti and Brittany Snow. 'We are embarking on a new venture by opening the Entertainment Division and are thrilled that Franco has come on board bringing his extensive knowledge, passion and expertise,' said Diana. Among the first projects Sama will executive produce for Wingspan is 'Love Is All You Need.' 'Love' is based on a short film of the same name that went viral on the internet, garnering more than three million hits. Attached to star are teen heartthrob Kellan Lutz (Twilight Series) and four time 'Young Artist Award' nominee Camilla Belle. Currently in pre-production, 'Love' is scheduled to begin shooting this fall. Sama said today 'It is appropriate that this partnership is being launched during the 4th of July week because I think that, together, we are going to set off fireworks throughout the industry.'

Thora Birch has been released from the cast of the revival of Bram Stoker's DRACULA. Previews begin Tuesday, December 14 at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan. Official opening is set for January 5, 2011. Emily Bridges, Ms. Birch's understudy, steps into the role of Lucy. Ms. Bridges is the co-author of a stage adaptation of Acting: The First Six Lessons, which she wrote and performed with her father, Beau Bridges. A student at the London Dramatic Academy and Moscow Art Theatre School, she has appeared on stage in Gaslight, The Princess and the Frog, and Happy Hour and the movies Voyage of the Unicorn and The Uninvited.
