THE LAST FIVE YEARS Extends One Week thru 4/28 at Second Stage Theatre

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Second Stage Theatre's upcoming production of Jason Robert Brown's musical, The Last Five Years, has been extended for one additional week through Sunday, April 28. The highly anticipated revival will begin preview performances on March 7 and will officially open on April 2.

In tribute to '50 Years of Bond,' Kirsten Holly Smith (as Dusty Springfield) and Christina Sajous (as Dusty's lover, Claire), stars of the new musical Forever Dusty, have recorded a music video of 'The Look of Love,' putting a new spin on Burt Bacharach and Hal David's Oscar nominated classic made popular by Dusty Springfield herself from the 1967 James Bond film, Casino Royale. That year, the song famously lost the Academy Award to 'Talk to the Animals' from Doctor Doolittle, but at Sunday's Oscars, Adele is favored to win for her own Bond tune, a new rendition of 'Skyfall.' Forever Dusty, the hit new musical about the life and times of legendary British pop star Dusty Springfield, is currently playing at New World Stages. Broken Nose Theatre to Present BEAUTIFUL BROKEN, Opening 3/29

Broken Nose Theatre (BNT) will present the world premiere of Beautiful Broken, a new play by Artistic Director Benjamin Brownson, in the Upstairs Mainstage at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 North Lincoln Ave., March 22 - April 21. Directed by Thomas Murray (artistic director of the Waltzing Mechanics), Beautiful Broken runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Preview performances are March 23, 24, 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets to Beautiful Broken range from $15-$25 and are available online at www.greenhousetheater.org or by calling 773.404.7336.

Single tickets will go on sale to the general public for Second Stage Theatre's revival of JASON ROBERT BROWN's musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS on Saturday, January 19th at 10am. Starring ADAM KANTOR and BETSY WOLFE, the beloved two-character musical, which has received more than 500 regional productions and 3,000 performances around the world, is returning to New York City after eleven years in an all-new staging directed by Mr. Brown. THE LAST FIVE YEARS will begin previews on Thursday, March 7 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2 at 7pm.

L!VE Asbury Park presents Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Chris Hall (Hedwig) and Kendal Hartse (Yitzhak) have signed on as the leads along side musicians Michael Thomas Murray, Mike Preen and Steve Kelly. Hedwig will run tonight, June 21 and June 22 & 23rd for five live performances at The Press Room, located at 610 Bangs Avenue in downtown Asbury Park.

On Monday, June 4, singer William Blake brought down the house in his third R&B-infused concert at for the Broadway at Birdland series. The show, 'Echoes of Etta,' celebrated the musical legacy of Etta James, and included her first #1 hit, 'The Wallflower (Roll With Me, Henry),' her quintessential 'At Last,' and rare interview recordings of the star. The band included Michael Thomas Murray on piano and Fender Rhodes, Oscar Bautista on guitar, Mike Preen on bass, Steve Kelly on drums, Matthew Polashek on sax. 'The Peaches' included Shira Elias, Ashley Betton and Stephany Mora.
