Wagner College Theatre Breaks New Ground With USED RECORDS

For the new year WCT will be offering an entirely new show, USED RECORDS. Story, conception, and direction by Jack Cummings III, USED RECORDS will be a completely new work created by the company and will explore the story of a woman named Colleen O'Brien through generations spanning the 20th and 21st centuries.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

A group of students has forcibly taken over a theatre space on their college campus. The room hasn't been touched in a year a?' not since a school shooting rocked the very foundation they're playing to, in the middle of a performance of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. The survivors have come together to hold a last hurrah: part vigil, part documentary, part call-to-action. See, the building is scheduled for demolition tomorrow a?' and, while they can, the students want to remind their community of what happened and what is at stake if they don't act.

The Drinkwater Brothers come to The Green Room 42, 570 Tenth Avenue at 42ndStreet (in Yotel Hotel) NYC on Saturday, March 16that 7:00 pm. They will be presenting a night of musical favorites. With an evening of song that will encompass Broadway, Pop, Rock, Blues, Folk, and everything in-between. This young duo is sure to rock your socks off. Tony Award nominee John Dossett, along with the Broadway veteran Theresa McCarthy, and NYC cabaret/theater artist Amy Beth Williams will be joining the Drinkwaters as special guest performers, in what is sure to be a night to remember. The cover is $22.50 - $52.50. There is NO minimum for food and drinks. The doors to The Green Room 42 will open at 5:30 pm.
