Over at MamaDrama, weve had the honor of working with PLAYTIME, the first-ever childcare service for theatre-going parents. Weve been wowed time and again by the incredible new work going on at Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theatre and The Westside Theatre while our kids enjoyed an afternoon or evening of the arts with the incredible Artisitters from Sitters Studio
the babysitting service that sends professional artists, actors, musicians, dancers and the like to your home to care for and inspire your child. So when I heard that Sitters Studio founder Kristina Wilson was producing a play for kids, my little guy and I couldnt wait to check it out. ( more...)

Andy Sandberg to Direct LAST SMOKER IN AMERICA at Westside Theatre; Opens 8/2

The new musical comedy The Last Smoker in America will get its New York premiere this summer, it was announced today. The Last Smoker in America, with book and lyrics by Tony Award® Nominee Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Drama Desk Nominee Peter Melnick (Adrift in Macao), will be directed by Tony Award-winning producer and director Andy Sandberg (Hair; Gore Vidals The Best Man) and choreographed by Tony Award® nominee AC Ciulla (Footloose). Performances begin Wednesday, July 11, 2012 upstairs at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street), with an official Opening Night set for Thursday, August 2, 2012. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demons point of view, will return to Irvine by popular demand for a limited engagement at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242 Campus Drive, adjacent to University of California Irvine, from July 12 through July 15.
