The MSMT Singers, the spectacularly talented group of young professionals in residence at Maine State Music Theatre all summer, bid farewell to Brunswick with two splendidly crafted and performed cabarets at the Freeport venue, Cadenza. The eight performers were able to showcase their triple threat talents and the new skills they honed all summer, in a program of musical theatre song and dance.

YPT's 3-play sophomore season launches with the fabulously fun Junie B. Jones, the Musical (Oct 7-Nov 5). The New Year sees the Chicago Premiere of Wendy Kesselman's vital new one-act, TYA version of The Diary of Anne Frank (Feb 17-March 24). What did our critic think of AIN'T TOO PROUD: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS at Proctors Theatre?

Stephan Memorial Playhouse, in Meriden, CT.

This sensational production, brilliantly directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (the same dynamite duo who also brought you JERSEY BOYS), expertly tells the story of The Temptations through the eyes of its only remaining member, Otis Williams, from the early beginnings and struggles to the present day. Featuring a brilliant mix of their smashing Motown hits, each song is cleverly woven into the storyline to create smooth and flawless transitions throughout their extraordinary journey.

BlackRock Center for the Arts produces its first-ever theatrical production, Dreamgirls, directed by Artistic Director, Kelly Chauncey. Dreamgirls runs from April 28, 2023, to May 7, 2023.
