Folk Veteran Arlo Guthrie to perform at Byham Theater November 5

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will present the multi-talented ARLO GUTHRIE on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 8:00 p.m. at the Byham Theater. Folk veteran Arlo Guthrie returns to his roots, performing time-honored classics as well as many deep album cuts from a career spanning more than 40 years. Arlo Guthrie has long been a crowd favorite, blending humorous, philosophical reflections with folk-rock hits and brilliantly-crafted new works. Arlo Guthrie along with his son Abe Guthrie, grandson Krishna Guthrie and drummer Terry 'a la Berry' Hall form the Boys' Night Out band, offering synergistic and familial support for a dynamic live performance. This performance is a part of the 2011-2012 Trust Presents series, sponsored by Cohen and Grigsby. (more...)

Phantom Audio will transform their large Chelsea loft into an art gallery - Phantom Gallery - for four days in September, and will present an exhibit of artist Don Florence's celebrity portraits entitled ACTORS, AUTHORS, OTHERS. Phantom Gallery is located at 48 West 25th Street, which is between 5th and 6th Avenues on the 10th Floor, and the exhibit ACTORS, AUTHORS, OTHERS will be held from September 24th through September 27th and will benefit the Playwrights Realm Theater Company.
