Kristen Hertzenberg Set for 4TH WITH THE PHIL in Las Vegas, 7/4

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will bring back and expand upon a beloved tradition in July when it presents a new Independence Day celebration called 4th with the Phil at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The celebration on Thursday, July 4th will include a family fun day held in Symphony Park from 4PM, a Pops concert held in Reynolds Hall at 7:30PM and a fireworks display at 9PM over the park, located in downtown Las Vegas. It will be the first Fourth of July concert in three years for the orchestra and marks its 15th birthday. Tickets go on sale on Monday, May 13th. (more...)

New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, just honored entertainment lawyer and New Dramatists Chairman of the Board Seth Gelblum with their 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 64th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, earlier today, May 21 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Among those performing tributes were Tony Award nominee Keith Carradine (Hands on a Hardbody, The Will Rogers Follies) and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change; Jelly's Last Jam). Viva Atlantis Theatricals Inc., whose recent maiden production was Terrence McNally and David Yazbek's Broadway musical 'The Full Monty,' officially presented to the media earlier today Broadway star Dan Domenech ('Rock of Ages,' 'Glee') and pop star Rachelle Ann Go ('Disney's The Little Mermaid,' 'Party Pilipinas'), who will play the roles of Tarzan and Jane, respectively, in the Asian premiere of Phil Collins and David Henry Hwang's Broadway musical 'Disney's Tarzan.'
