The Museum of Broadway officially opened yesterday, November 13, ahead of its official public opening tomorrow. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the red carpet event here! Only Make Believe is Back on Broadway for its Annual Gala, hosted by John Oliver of HBO's Emmy Award Winning Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, set for Monday November 14th at 7pm at the St. James Theatre.

From highly-anticipated new movie musicals like Disenchanted and Spirited, to the soundtrack for Netflix's upcoming Matilda the Musical movie soundtrack, November's new streaming releases will give Broadway fans entertained throughout the month. 

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release Sondheim Unplugged: The NYC Sessions – Volume Three, the final installment of the monumental three-volume set dedicated to the oeuvre of iconic musical theater composer Stephen Sondheim. The third edition will be available on Friday, November 18 in streaming and digital formats, in addition to a 2-disc CD.

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Brandon James Gwinn in Four Pianos on Thursday November 3rd at 9:30pm. Richard Rodgers Award winner and celebrated nightlife pianist Brandon James Gwinn (he/they), flanked by an expanded version of their T-shirt Tuxedo Trio, brings an evening of music to Broadway’s Supper Club tributing four of his favorite singing pianists: Blossom Dearie, Frances Faye, Diana Krall, and the fabulous Bobby Short. 

Sondheim Unplugged will celebrate its 100th performances as series creator passes the torch to a new host.

George Takei, the original and beloved Mr. Sulu from 'Star Trek', film and television star, activist and social media icon, is to make his London stage debut in the UK premiere of the Broadway musical inspired by Takei's true childhood experiences, 'George Takei's Allegiance'.

Stephen DeAngelis continues his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with the next edition in his monthly residency of AT THIS PERFORMANCE… to be held on Monday, August 8th at The Green Room 42.

The new Off-Broadway musical Between the Lines is now open at the Tony Kiser Theater at Second Stage. Between the Lines stars Arielle Jacobs as Delilah and Jake David Smith as Prince Oliver. Telly Leung, who played “Aladdin” opposite Arielle Jacobs' “Jasmine” on Broadway came to see BETWEEN THE LINES. AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from A Strange Loop; MJ The Musical; Company; Into The Woods; Funny Girl; Beetlejuice and Between The Lines   on Monday, July 18th at 7 PM. 

What did our critic think? Yellow Face follows Asian-American playwright DHH. Fresh off his Tony Award win for M. Butterfly, he leads a protest against the casting of Jonathan Pryce as the Eurasian pimp in the original Broadway production of Miss Saigon, condemning the practice as 'yellowface.' His position soon comes back to haunt him when he mistakes a Caucasian actor, Marcus G. Dahlman, for mixed-race, and casts him as the lead Asian role of his own Broadway-bound comedy, Face Value. When DHH discovers the truth of Marcus' ethnicity, he tries to conceal his blunder to protect his reputation as an Asian-American role model by passing the actor off as a 'Siberian Jew.'

The team at The Legacy Theatre is bringing a powerhouse of a new work to the Legacy stage. Running July 7-16, Thursdays through Saturdays, is the second production of the Legacy's 2022 New Works Series - 'Awesomer and Awesomer.'
