Ghostlight to Release FANCY NANCY THE MUSICAL Cast Recording, 3/12

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Fancy Nancy The Musical. The acclaimed children's show is currently running at Vital Theatre Company, New York's leading not-for-profit family theatre. The album will have a digital release of March 12 with physical copies online and in stores on April 23. The show features music by Danny Abosch, book by Susan DiLallo and lyrics by both. The musical is based on the book series written by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. (more...)

Vital Theatre Company has announced that its newest hit Fancy Nancy The Musical is making a very special homecoming back to the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. After taking an excursion--that's fancy for trip--downtown to Culture Project, Nancy returns to Vital Theatre beginning February 2nd, with performances every Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 pm, following performances of Vital's newest world premiere musical, Show Way. Performances of Fancy Nancy will close at Culture Project on January 13. Tickets are $29.50. Premium seats are available for $49.50. Based on the characters created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig, the Angelina Ballerina™ The Musical creative team returns with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Ben Morss, and direction and choreography by Sam Viverito. Performances run on Saturdays and Sundays from November 17-January 13 at 11 am and 1 pm, with special holiday performances on November 23, December 5, December 24-27, December 31, and January 1 at 11 am and 1 pm. Vital Theatre Company, winner of the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family Show, has announced its 2012-2013 Family Programming season in its home theatre at 76th Street and Broadway. Featuring four musicals for children and families, this year's Vital season includes two world premieres and two returning favorites. In Fancy Nancy The Musical and Show Way, two popular children's books are newly adapted for the stage. Vital favorites Angelina Ballerina™ The Very Merry Holiday Musical and A (Tooth) Fairy Tale return to round out the season.
