The 15-time Grammy Award winning singer will be at the Marcus Center's Uihlein Hall for one night only on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale on this Monday, January 9 at 12:00 p.m. at the Marcus Center Box Office. Legendary performer Tony Bennett celebrates a milestone birthday on August 3rd when he turns 85. But 'the best is yet to come' with news that the singer has just completed recording with Lady Gaga and Aretha Franklin for his highly anticipated DUETS II CD adding to a celebrated list of artists previously announced including Michael Buble, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Queen Latifah, Carrie Underwood, Amy Winehouse and many others. Last night, October 14th, 2010, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) presented its annual gala to raise awareness and support for Sing for Hope's programs that mobilize professional artists in volunteer service to benefit schools, hospitals and communities. The event also raised funds for the 2011 return of Sing for Hope Street Pianos, a public art installation that brought 60 upright pianos to the streets of New York this past summer, and embodies Sing for Hope's mission of making art available to all. The evening's emcee was Tony winner and BWW favorite Nathan Lane, and Philbin regaled co-host Kelly Ripa and the 'LIVE' audience with how he became the target of much of Lane's humor throughout the evening (using an emcee trick that seasoned public speaker Regis knows all too well).
