The Drama League Theater Center threw open its doors for a 'Welcome Back Celebration.' It was a welcome back to the Drama League's in-person programming, theater, and live events in the world's greatest city. The invite-only guests included the Drama League Members, staff, Board, and Directors Project alumni. Dozens of guests gathered at the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Studio Lab to toast the new theater season and tour the Drama League Center's Tribecca offices.

Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a celebration at their East Hampton estate for Bay Street Theater, honoring Mercedes Ruehl and Harris Yulin. Ruehl and Yulin were honored with Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center For The Arts's Joel Grey Lifetime Achievement Award as actors and for their many years of support for the East End's arts community.

Arriving just in time for the holiday season, BroadwayHD, in partnership with Guggenheim Entertainment, will debut a dazzling and fun performance of The MeshugaNutcracker! This full-length musical comedy features the wonderfully silly sensibilities of the folklore of Chelm (the fictional town of fools) underscored by an invigorating, Klezmer-ized orchestration of Tchaikovsky's 'Nutcracker Suite', now with original lyrics that celebrate Chanukah.  

10 Cirque du Soleil Titles Now Streaming on BroadwayHD

BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater productions, is expanding its library to include the most comprehensive library of Cirque du Soleil titles available for streaming. Theater Close-Up, the unique collaboration between THIRTEEN and the large community of New York City area non-profit Off-Broadway theaters, will present Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Buried Child in Scott Elliott's acclaimed production from The New Group, Monday, November 28 at 9 p.m. on THIRTEEN, with an encore presentation on Friday, December 2 at 3:30 a.m. The play will also air Sunday, December 18 at 10 p.m. on WLIW21.
