Review: DRACULA - A COMEDY OF TERRORS allo Spazio Diamante

Gli adattamenti teatrali di Dracula sono stati moltissimi, e aggiornano costantemente il classico di Bram Stoker attraverso le più diverse chiavi di lettura, dalla prosa al musical, dalla fedeltà storica alla sperimentazione scenica.

DRÁCULA - UM TERROR DE COMÉDIA: Get Ready for a Hilarious Take on a Classic Vampire Tale

Set in the treacherous mountains of Transylvania, the story follows a meek English real estate agent, Jonathan Harker, who embarks on a journey to meet a mysterious new client — who just happens to be the most terrifying vampire of all: Count Dracula. But this Dracula is a Gen Z pansexual with an existential crisis, adding a modern twist to the classic tale.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to Present WAITING FOR GODOT Beginning Next Month

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) will continue its 2023 Main Stage season with Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. Hailed “one of the true masterpieces of the century” by the New York Times, Godot has fascinated and infuriated audiences since it burst upon the world in 1953. This funny, cruel, moving, enigmatic metaphor is “theatre of the absurd” at its most breathtaking pinnacle.

BWW Review: ELECTRICITY - Power Source Interrupted

The world premiere of playwright Terry Ray's ELECTRICITY's perfect for those rarefied romantics out there who still believe true love can be found, whatever the obstacles. With a three-decade time span, audiences must check their need for plausibility at the theatre front door in order to accept two actors aging thirty years within the ninety-minute performance.

BWW Review: A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES Weighs in at Boston's Huntington Theatre

Jeffrey Hatcher's stage adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A CONFERERACY OF DUNCES, now in its world premiere at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, feels like a lost opportunity. Much like its obnoxious and oversized central character Ignatius J. Reilly, a slovenly, unemployed 30-year-old still living with and supported by his sweetly doting mother, the play is a lumbering behemoth that is often equal parts boring and boorish.
