Cinemagic won the Innovation Award at April 29th's Business Innovation Awards as a part of BritWeek 2012. Cinemagic, whose patrons include Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan, was recognized for it’s work with young people throughout the country.BritWeek was founded in 2007 by Bob Peirce, then British Council General, and Television producer Nigel Lythgoe.The organization, founded in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an award winning charity that embraces the magic of film, television and digital technologies to educate, motivate and inspire young people wanting to get involved in the entertainment industry through the medium of workshops, film screens and industry led master classes. Pierce Brosnan attended the VIP Opening LA Event of Cinemagic Los Angeles Film and Television Festival for Young People on Feb 20th, 2012. The event took place at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows at which the action packed 6-day program of events was officially launched. This is Pierce’s second year supporting the event. Attendees heard from Pierce Brosnan, Cinemagic Chief Executive, Joan Burney Keatings and 10 teenagers from Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland who performed numerous musical numbers and spoke about their individual passions for entertainment.
