This week marks the return of Make Music New York, the free outdoor music festival celebrating the solstice and summer. Joe's Pub will host the Beck Song Reader Stage all day Friday outside our downtown home at Astor Place. More highlights this week include funny girl Julie Klausner's debut cabaret, Mother Falcon's collaboration with Raul Midon for Symphonic Sundays, the inimitable Bridget Everett and more. Scott Fitzgerald in his novels and stories, and directly associated with his life make up the soundtrack of an inventive new theatrical revue conceived and co-created by the jazz writer Will Friedwald, co-created and directed by Sarna Lapine, with music direction by Jon Weber. 'Tales from the Jazz Age: An F. Scott Fitzgerald Songbook' receives its world premiere in four nights from June 13 to 21 at the renowned Cafe Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, as part of its new Second Act Late-Night Series. Joe's Pub at The Public welcomes world premieres, highly-anticipated debuts and the return of many esteemed performers this May and June. Funny girl JULIE KLAUSNER makes her debut with two evenings of cabaret. Legendary downtown performance artist JOHN KELLY returns to premiere Rebel Songs. The 60s-inspired flight attendant PAM ANN returns for five nights in the Cockpit.
