BBC America's Original Series COPPER to Return, 6/23

BBC AMERICA announced today, hit original series COPPER, will premiere Sunday, June 23, 10:00pm ET/PT. The first teaser trailer, featuring music by Iron and Wine, will be revealed tomorrow during BBC AMERICA's broadcast of Doctor Who at 8:00pm ET/PT. Set in 1865 New York City, Tom Weston-Jones returns as Detective Kevin Corcoran, an Irish-American cop who seeks justice for the powerless in the notorious Five Points. Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy, Max Payne), Eamonn Walker (Chicago Fire, Oz), Lee Tergesen (The Big C, Oz) and Andrew Howard (Hatfield & McCoys, The Hangover) join the cast for the second season. Presented onstage last spring along with the other finalists, this winning entry - which garnered sold out, standing room only crowds - was selected by Pandora's audience for inclusion in the current season's lineup. AN AMERICAN STORY for ACTOR AND ORCHESTRA, will feature a post-show talk-back discussion with creator, composer and star Hershey Felder and Dr. Daniel W. Stowell, Director and Editor of The Papers of Abraham Lincoln, on Saturday, March 16 following the 8 p.m. performance at The Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted. AN AMERICAN STORY tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's final day from the perspective of his doctor, Charles Leale, author of LINCOLN'S LAST HOURS, as well Dr. Leale's original report from 1865, which created an international sensation when it was discovered amongst Lincoln's papers in Washington, D.C. in June 2012. Felder and Dr. Stowell will discuss the historic significance of this discovery, as well as answer audience questions. (more...)
