FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical playing at St. Luke's Theatre, had been running now for over a year and will be extending into 2019.  Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, it is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica. An open-run, it plays Monday evenings at 7 PM.  There will also be Friday 11 AM matinees scheduled for school trips in 2019.

The national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater Production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I will make its Columbus premiere at the Ohio Theatre April 24-29 with an Ohio native in the lead female role of Anna Leonowens. Hailing from Chagrin Falls, Elena Shaddow takes on the character of the British schoolteacher hired by the King of Siam to educate his wives and children.

It was announced today that Elena Shaddow will join the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I as Anna Leonowens, beginning March 20 in Tempe, AZ.

The National Tour of The King and I, which won a Tony Award for Best Revival in 2015, is opened at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles last night, and will play through January 21st, 2017. BC Beat, the bi-annual choreography showcase established to support, explore and experience innovative theatrical dance, announces a line up for Monday May 18th featuring nine choreographers with work performed by a company of 40 artists from Broadway's biggest hits.  The evening kicks off at 7pm with music by DJ Justin Johnston (RENT) at Cielo (18 Little W. 12th Street).
