The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been leading the gender parity conversation and championing women in the professional theatre for over 35 years, will present the 2019 Theatre Women Awards at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012) on Monday, March 25 at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities continues the 2017 2018 Black Box Season with the regional premiere of The Electric Baby, directed by Rick Barbour on Friday, February 9, 2018. The Electric Baby, by Stefanie Zadravec, is a darkly comic story that combines folktales and folklore to explore the unlikely people that get you from one place to the next. The play contains strong adult language and is best enjoyed by young adults to adults. The Electric Baby continues the Arvada Center's spring theatre season, three plays that will be performed in repertory until May. The 2017 2018 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.

The Arvada Center has announced its 2017-18 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes two regional premiere plays performed in repertory, as well as the return of one of the Arvada Center's most highly-requested musicals. The season also marks the second-year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors, who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory.

The 19th annual JAW: A Playwrights Festival is Portland's chance to preview spanking new scripts while they're still in development, enjoy a host of Press Play performances and dig deeper with Community Artist Labs presented by JAW featured artists.
