Celebrity Series of Boston announces the appointment of a new Artistic Director, Nicole Taney. Taney joins the Celebrity Series of Boston senior leadership team from her current role as the Director of Artistic Planning and Operations at Spoleto Festival USA.

The New York Premiere of the BroadwayWorld Award-winning A Black and White Cookie by Gary Morgenstein, directed by Marcello Rollando, will play The Tank Theater (312 West 36th Street New York, NY 10018), July 9-24.

Tickets are still available for the concert presented by The Riverside Opera Ensemble at Merkin Hall featuring Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Nathan R. Matthews who is producing as well as performing in the show. 

Shakespeare & Company presents The Approach by Irish playwright Mark O'Rowe, to be staged at the Company's Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre May 6 through May 29.

In announcing its 2022/23 Season today, Boston Lyric Opera has unveiled an expanded, year-round return to stages throughout Boston.

The Metropolitan Opera will present an audacious new production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, which moves the bel canto masterpiece from 18th-century Scotland to a present-day town in the American Rust Belt, with nine performances April 23–May 21, 2022.

Columbus Symphony Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts a remarkable program showcasing Columbus Symphony Concertmaster Joanna Frankel as she deftly and expertly performs Benjamin Britten's stunning and rarely heard Violin Concerto.

After more than 50 years, Michigan Opera Theatre is changing its name: in tandem with a return to the Detroit Opera House for the April 2 premiere of La bohème, the company will be known as Detroit Opera.
