NAFT to Present World Premiere Musical, WITCHES AMONG US, 10/3-11/7

New American Folk Theatre (NAFT) announced that it will present the world premiere of 'Witches Among Us', a musical by Chicagoans Rick Karlin (book) and Scott Free (music and lyrics), on October 3, at The Call, 1547 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.

Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 16th Not Your Typical Season with Collected Stories. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Donald Margulies and directed by James O'Neil, Collected Stories is a two-person play featuring Susan Clark (Emmy Winner - 'Babe Zaharias,' 'Webster,' Shaw Festival and the Taper) as a brilliant, direct writing professor and Meghan Andrews (Frost/Nixon and The Grapes of Wrath on Broadway) as her eager-yet-talented student. Opening tonight, May 28th at 7:00 p.m., Collected Stories runs Wednesdays through Sundays until June 21st.

Hosted by master illusionist and entertainer Justin Willman ('Cupcake Wars'), the contemporary version of the popular game ditches the drawing pad to deliver a high-energy game featuring motion control illustration, interactive multi-touch screen displays and fun challenges. 'Disney's Win, Lose or Draw' will air Monday through Thursday, beginning MONDAY, MARCH 3 (5:00 P.M. ET/PT), on Disney Channel.

NORWAY PLAYS Opens Off-Broadway this Week

Ego Actus and Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will present the US Premiere of NORWAY PLAYS: DRAMA BEYOND IBSEN. The evening features two 50-minute one act plays by contemporary Norwegian playwrights, both of whom have won the prestigious Ibsen Award: THE RETURNING by Fredrik Brattberg (directed by Henning Hegland) and MORE by Maria Tryti Vennerod (directed by Joan Kane). Previews of this limited Off-Broadway engagement begin November 9 at Theater For The New City with opening is slated for November 13.

A heroine fluent in toddler gibberish is accustomed to her patient Mom understanding her but it is a day with her well-meaning, but clueless Dad and the loss of a beloved toy that are at the center of Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical, running Sept. 6-22 at The Rose Theater. This hilarious musical version of the beloved Caldecott Honor book by Mo Willems (author of the Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus book series) is sure to get the family giggling, but also learning about communication, family responsibility and love.

After a sold out 9-week run in 2012 and the destruction by Hurricane Sandy of what was supposed to be their new home at South Street Seaport, Third Rail Projects has found a new venue to house its critically acclaimed production of THEN SHE FELL. This immersive theater event is inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland). It is written, directed, designed and choreographed by Zach Morris with Tom Pearson and Jennine Willett and in collaboration with The Company. Performances of this open-ended run will resume March 9 at The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns, a century-old institutional building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn that will allow the action to play out on 3 floors.

Director and choreographer Kenji Kawarasaki's production, which blends traditional eastern techniques of Noh with modern western dance to produce culturally rich movement theater.
