BroadwayHD is inviting subscribers this month to run away to the circus, kick-up their heels and dance along with some of the most elite Irish dancers, and enjoy some of their favorite moments from the cannon of Oscar Wilde! In March, BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater, will be adding a number of standout performances to their service including the West End production of family favorite Hetty Feather directed by the Olivier award-nominated Sally Cookson. March will also mark a celebration of the legendary Irish playwright Oscar Wilde with four of his plays filmed from West End performances that made up Classic Spring's Oscar Wilde Season. Finally, BroadwayHD's line-up will be rounded out with a special St. Patrick's Day playlist debuting on March 13th featuring some of the most exciting Riverdance performances from around the globe.

I think I could hack this particular task without any tears (or maybe like you know without having to blog about it) were it not for that gorgeous black square with the orange and yellow title letters thrown into the air alongside perfect pair of cartoon dice. 1992 Grammy Award-winning New Broadway Cast Recording, it's gonna be hard to leave you, baby.

Jeremy Swift is well known to TV audiences as Septimus Spratt on Downton Abbey. On the big screen, he's appeared in Polanski's Oliver Twist and Altman's Gosford Park, and will shortly be seen in Mary Poppins Returns.
He's currently playing Reverend Chasuble in The Importance of Being Earnest at the Vaudeville Theatre, which opens tonight.

Sophie Thompson has had to withdraw from the cast of Peter Pan, the National Theatre's Christmas show, due to a broken wrist. Anna Francolini, last seen at the NT in wonder.land, will take over the role of Captain Hook/ Mrs Darling. The NT is delighted that Anna was available to step into the role, and wishes Sophie a speedy recovery.

Sometimes I resent the fact that this is the case and really feel for those others in the category who quite frankly don't stand a chance; even though they too worked their socks off to get the nomination. The category I'm referring to this year is Best Actress in a Musical.
