Soon to be a feature film, see it first at Porchlight Music Theatre!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench will be starring (and singing) in the upcoming film version of the Tony Award Winning musical Nine. The film is being adapted by Rob Marshall and produced by the Weinstein Company.

The Playwrights Theater, sponsored by Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library's O'Neill at Yale project, will present The O'Neill Festival at 10, ten days of free readings, screenings and discussions as well as a musical revue to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the O'Neill. From January 4 - 13 this O'Neill celebration will take place at New York University's Provincetown Playhouse

Variety reports that due to the writers' strike, production on the up-coming Rob Marshall movie musical adaptation of Nine has been postponed to 2008.
