NBC has announced that today, November 17th, Broadway's Alfie Boe will perform a song from LES MISERABLES during the 10-11 a.m. hour of TODAY.

A brand-new promo for Broadway's LES MISERABLES just hit YouTube (watch it below!), and it looks like Alfie Boe isn't long for the part of 'Jean Valjean'. The video announces the actor's departure date as February 28th, 2016. No word yet on who will replace him in the lead role, but BWW will keep our ears to the ground!

As reported yesterday, Tony Award-nominee Montego Glover and Alex Finke will join Alfie Boe, the internationally-acclaimed performer who takes over the role of Jean Valjean in Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's Les Miserables, on Sept 1. Glover succeeds Erika Henningsen as Fantine, while Finke (making her Broadway debut) replaces original cast member Samantha Hill. New York's flagship public media station THIRTEEN will air a special re-broadcast of the famed London Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert this evening, June 14 beginning at 7 pm.

New York's flagship public media station THIRTEEN will air a special re-broadcast of the famed London LES MISERABLES 25th Anniversary Concert this Sunday evening, June 14 beginning at 7 pm.  The concert, which celebrated the original London production's 25th Anniversary, took place on October 3, 2010 at the O2 Arena and starred Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean.  Boe will reprise his legendary performance beginning September 1 in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new Broadway revival of LES MISERABLES at the Imperial Theatre.  The concert will also be broadcast on WLIW21 on Long Island Monday, June 15 at 7 pm and Saturday, June 20 on NJTV at 7 pm.

The pair recently released a concept recording of four songs written for a theoretical RATATOUILLE musical, with visuals from the film to go with them. They explicitly state, however, that they did not do this with Disney's sanction, so this seems to be more a strong hint to Disney than an assignment. Check out the live studio recording below!
