Seattle Finalist in Ford's Nationwide Best Independent Musician Contest Releases New Album

A top-12 finalist in Ford's 'Gimme the Gig II' nationwide search for the ultimate independent musician, Seattle pop singer and songwriter Rachel Wong will release her new album, "Letters to You," on iTunes and on Spotify May 28. CDs will be available, and a new music video of the album's single "Center Stage," directed by Jordan Nicholson, will premiere at a free album release show in Portland, OR, June 29. Wong will next perform in Seattle at the Wing Luke Museum's Jamfest, July 18, and at the Bellevue Festival of the Arts, July 27. (more...)

The Rolling Stones Set to Kick Off Their '50 & Counting World Tour'

All proceeds will be donated to Bright Pink, the only national non-profit organization focusing on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young woman. New York City Fireman Rick Galvin founded In Honor of Carol Galvin as a dedication to his mother who passed away from cancer on January 8, 1988. Rick Galvin has presented these semi-annual benefits to raise awareness, money and to make a difference in peoples lives. Rick also hopes that his fundraising efforts will help save a child from the pain of losing a parent to cancer. The benefit will feature music by international Pop/Rock Band Frealane, fashions by designer Jenn Burgos, designer Shakeema Thomas (Kemonae) and international club sensation DJ Angela Pandelis.
