Third Street Theatre has added a host and 3 new cast members to its gala performance of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown on May 4th, 5th and 6th. Just before the airing of the final episodes of the hit show, The Closer, Tony nominee Corey Reynolds (Hairspray) will host on Saturday May 5th. Added to the cast are Janelle Lynn Randall (Boardwalk Empire, All Shook Up), Daniel Tatar (The Company Men, Hairspray) and Allen Hidalgo (Jersey Boys). These actors join hosts Jane Lynch, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, as well as cast members Tracie Thoms (Rent), Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Lindsay Pearce (The Glee Project), Chase Williamson (Spring Awakening). Every performance will be followed by a catered reception and hosted wine bar. (more...)

University Hospitals Case Medical Center’s Seidman Cancer Center is hosting IMAGINE: A Celebration of LIFE, a unique musical ensemble on Monday, May 7 in New York City. Led by Broadway actress and Cleveland native Betsy Werbel, the event raises funds for cancer research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. (more...)

New Village Arts announces an exclusive engagement of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) at the Schulman Auditorium in Carlsbad April 5-7. Today, the spotlight falls upon Delaney Amatrudo, one of Nashville’s most acclaimed young actors who finishes up her run as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at Page High School in Williamson County. Her resume boasts a collection of roles that would make anyone envious, including her starring stint in Circle Players’ productions of 13 the Musical and Footloose. Last summer, she played Millie Owens in the First Night staged reading of William Inge’s Picnic (which I directed, so I know how wicked good she is). Newly added to the roaster of performers is Award Winning Jazz Vocalist Jane Monheit, Broadway and Reality Television Star Laura Osnes and West End performer Richard Fleeshman, who will make his Broadway debut as Sam Wheat in the musical adaptation of Ghost after creating the role in the West End production.
