Forty-one years after its premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre, Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum will present the world premiere of an “all new” revival of The West Side Waltz by Academy Award-winning writer Ernest Thompson (On Golden Pond).

The musical comedy teen drama Glee will make its return to streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

Joshua Henry will head the cast of Brave New World: The Musical (as World Controller Thomas Mond) for an invitation-only industry reading on May 23rd in Midtown Manhattan. Joining Henry will be Solea Pfeiffer, Ephraim Sykes, and more.

Producer Antonio Marion has announced that Tony and Olivier Award-winning director, Rob Ashford, is set to direct a brand-new production of Sherlock Holmes, a stage epic by British writing team Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, with Akram Khan joining as choreographer.

Selena Gomez announced the release date in a new video posted to her Twitter account, featuring co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. It's been ten years since legendary musical, comedy, cabaret star Miss Hope Springs (written and performed by Mr Ty Jeffries) was first invited by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin to be resident songstress at their soon-to-open 'jewel box of a cabaret room' in Piccadilly. Hope visited the building site in a sequined high-vis jacket and hard hat, said 'Mais oui!' and launched the programme with her weekly Sunday Soirées.

AARP The Magazine announced that Lily Tomlin will receive this year’s Movies for Grownups Career Achievement Award. Tomlin is the recipient of eight Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Grammy Award, and more. She will be honored at the 20th Anniversary Special of the annual Movies for Grownups® (MFG) Awards hosted by Alan Cumming.

The hit Hulu show, Only Murders in the Building, has announced that stars Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer will appear in season two, which is currently being filmed. According to Deadline, Martin Short has already shot scenes with the two actresses.

As Broadway reopens and theatrical tours resume, audiences all over the United States are getting the chance to experience the latest productions from the Great White Way. And getting to enjoy a production that is both entertaining and thought-provoking makes the experience that much more meaningful. Such is the case for the national tour of THE PROM, which will take the stage at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando December 7 – 12. Playing the role of the Broadway diva, Dee Dee Allen, will be Courtney Balan. I caught up with Courtney to find out more about THE PROM, her career and what it’s like performing this show to excited audiences all over the country.
