Ann Hampton Callaway & More Win Big at the 2013 MAC Awards

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has just announced the winners of the 2013 MAC Awards, which were presented last night at the 27th Annual MAC Awards Show. The awards ceremony was held at B.B. King Blues Club, and the show was directed by Lennie Watts and produced by Julie Miller. Lifetime Achievement awards were presented to Tom Wopat and Penny Fuller. The Board of Directors Award was presented to 54 Below, and a special award was presented in memory of Ruth Kurtzman. The Hanson Award was presented to Elaine St. George. The show was hosted by KT Sullivan, with music direction by Tracy Stark, and stage management by Amy Wolk. (more...)

The Tacoma Children's Musical Theater continues to grow as it enters its exciting seventh season at TMP. Presented by our Mainstage adult performers, these fully-staged musicals based on classic and children's literature are geared toward young and old alike, and are a great way to introduce young members to the theatergoing process. Andrea Marcovicci Releases SMILE Album; Performs at Cafe Carlyle, 10/2-27

Andrea Marcovicci, the acclaimed singer and actress, has announced the release of her first CD of new material in five years, Smile, on her own label Andreasong. The new recoding her is based on her show of the same name that will be performed at New York's famed Cafe Carlyle from October 2 to 27 after hit runs in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. The disc can be purchased at CDBaby.com and Marcovicci.com. The CD will also be available at live performances, starting with Andrea's final West Coast performances of Smile at The Gardenia in Hollywood on September 14 and 15. (more...)
