CBS, the Recording Academy® and AEG Ehrlich Ventures celebrate 38-time GRAMMY® nominee and seven-time GRAMMY winner Prince on the rebroadcast of LET'S GO CRAZY: THE GRAMMY SALUTE TO PRINCE, Saturday, April 25 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on CBS All Access. 

The Recording Academy®, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS will celebrate 38-time GRAMMY® nominee and seven-time GRAMMY winner Prince with a special broadcast of 'Let's Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute To Prince'. The tribute concert is hosted by comedian Maya Rudolph, who will also perform with her Prince cover band Princess.

The Recording Academy®, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS will celebrate 38-time GRAMMY® nominee and seven-time GRAMMY winner Prince with a special broadcast of 'Let's Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute To Prince' to be broadcast Tuesday, April 21 (9:00a?"11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on CBS All Access. The tribute concert is hosted by comedian Maya Rudolph, who will also perform with her Prince cover band Princess. Filmed January 28th, the special will air on the four-year anniversary of the superstar's passing.  

Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist, podcast host (The Trap Set) and composer Joe Wong (“Master of None”, “Russian Doll”, “The Midnight Gospel”, “Ugly Delicious”, “Awkwafina is Nora From Queens” and more…) has just announced Nite Creatures, his full-length solo debut, due out May 15, 2020 via a newly signed deal with Decca Records. Nite Creatures is a collection of 10 baroque, ruminative, songs that evoke the psychedelic heyday of the legendary UK-based Decca label, living in the pops and crackles between the Summer of Love and the start of the Seventies – the acid-tinged era of Scott Walker, Marianne Faithfull, Love, the Zombies and Fairport Convention. To mark the release of Nite Creatures, Wong will take his kaleidoscopic show on the road with stops at Lodge Room in Los Angeles, Neumos in Seattle, Le Poisson Rouge in New York, World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Lincoln Hall in Chicago and more. The Recording Academy® has confirmed the final slate of performers for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. Previously announced Gary Clark Jr., will be joined by The Roots to perform Clark's GRAMMY-nominated song 'This Land.' Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty will unite to honor those we have lost this year in a touching In Memoriam piece. And, Sheila E. will take the stage with Usher for an exciting GRAMMY Salute to Prince. Live from STAPLES Center, and hosted by Alicia Keys, the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Jan. 26at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. 

The Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Jazz Ensemble will perform at the Newport Beach Jazz Party on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 8:15 pm PST with guest soloists KP, Wycliffe, Tom Scott and James Morrison. Problem: Traditional 'rock' groups try to generate excitement at live shows with loud guitars -- but, after 70 years dominating popular music, the guitar era is over and its graying progenitors, fussing about with their boutique amplifiers and eensie pedals, are in aesthetic crisis. Meanwhile, hip-hop production -- disruptive, innovative, incredibly exciting -- has already defined the 21st century, but the genre's reliance on backing tracks means live shows sometimes lack energy and spontaneity.

Just two days after the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®, the Recording Academy®, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS will celebrate the unparalleled career of 38-time GRAMMY® nominee and seven-time GRAMMY winner Prince by presenting 'Let's Go Crazy: The GRAMMY® Salute to Prince.' The live concert taping will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. PT at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The special will be broadcast later in 2020 on the CBS Television Network. On Saturday, November 2, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) continues its Jazz Masters music series with the Willie Martinez Latin Jazz Quartet. Martinez, an accomplished drummer, percussionist, arranger/composer and vocalist, will be joined by Nicki Denner on piano/vocals, Bernie Minoso on bass, and Anton Denner on reeds and flute. The group will perform two sets at 7:30 and 9 pm at WCT, 23 Water Street in Ossining.

Sam Moore and Dave Prater – the groundbreaking duo, Sam & Dave, who brought their gospel roots to Soul music, were one of the primary chart stars at the Stax and Atlantic labels in the '60s. Bringing the passion of call and response to their wailing soul side, the duo were honored by The Recording Academy as one of the recipients of the Special Merit Awards, The Lifetime Achievement Award in May in Los Angeles.

The Old Globe continues to make theatre matter to more people by inviting everyone to enjoy three unique productions of original work developed through coLAB, a program developed by the Department of Arts Engagement. coLAB unites community and artists to develop unique participatory theatre. Having the perspective of participants at the forefront of the storytelling experience is central to this artistic collaboration. Community members work with an artist over several months developing stories. The culmination of the work is a presentation with a community partner organization of a public performance and celebration. These productions take on many forms but always feature the stories and perspectives of the participants.
