Dialogue with Three Chords Presents THE LAST DAYS OF THE BRAVE AND BOLD Tonight

Dialogue with Three Chords stages an imagined conversation between William Marston, creator of the DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman and Dr. Frederic Wertham, champion of comic book censorship in 'The Last Days of the Brave and Bold ' from playwright Stephen Gracia. The short play is directed by Michael LoPorto as is the curtain raiser monologue, 'A People's History of Super Heroism.' The performance is tonight, March 28 at 8pm downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with $3 suggested donation. (more...)

'The Rough and Sweet Quartet' includes four new plays from Gracia, all directed by Michael LoPorto. The plays are 'about love, lust, transformation, drinks with the devil, and the stories we tell each other' says Gracia. The performance is tonight, February 28 at 8pm downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with $3 suggested donation. (more...)

Dialogue with Three Chords presents "Lovecraft in Brooklyn" a staged reading of a new work from playwright Stephen Gracia that explores H.P. Lovecraft's tumultuous time living in Brooklyn while newly married. The reading also includes the curtain raiser "When I Dream, I See Strange Men: The Ascension of Elias" which deals with an imagined alien abduction. Both pieces are directed by Michael LoPorto. The show also features live music from Tommy Lombardozzi on October 25 downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with a $3 suggested donation. (more...)

Barefoot will lead over 50 theatre companies from around the globe including France, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Scotland, Australia, England, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Japan, Korea & the United States, performing readings, staged readings & fully staged productions of 70 of Horovitz's plays. THE 70/70 HOROVITZ PROJECT will begin with a gala & a reading of Sins of the Mother (directed by Jo Bonney) at the Theatres at 45 Bleecker Street on Israel's birthday, March 31, 2009 & will continue throughout the following year, ending on March 31, 2010. The evening will be hosted by Barefoot Theatre Company Advisory Board Member, Pierre Dulaine. The entire Barefoot Theatre Company will be present at the event to greet all guests, along with the Horovitz family. (more...)
