Review: WE WILL ROCK YOU at The Marcelle Theater

Boasting a dynamic cast and a kickass band, We Will Rock You is essential viewing. Perfect for fans of Queen and those who want their musicals tinged with plenty of sass, the show is the perfect amalgamation of driving beats, finger snaps, get down grooves, and phenomenal performances.

Review: PROMENADE at The Marcelle Theater

This ridiculously hilarious romp is gloriously wacky. Audiences should set aside any expectations and just go along for the ride. Giddy and wonderful, Promenade succeeds thanks to a stellar cast that relishes the ludicousness of it all. Happily devouring scenery as they goof off, they deliver an  infectious burst of musical theater.

Review: AMERICAN IDIOT at The Marcelle Theater

iAmerican Idiot is a brazen rock opera in the vein of The Who’s Tommy. The music is urgent, incendiary and, at times, regretful and poignant. Green Day’s punk rock ethos evokes reflection on the role of societal pressures and personal introspection.

New Line opens its 33rd season of wild, unpredictable, adult musical theatre, with the powerful, high-octane, punk rock fable AMERICAN IDIOT, based on the powerhouse album of the same name by Green Day, a scorching attack on the hypocrisy and moral evils of American politics and its manipulation of the American public. See photos from the production.

Review: DRACULA at The Marcelle Theater

Finishing the company’s 32nd season, this alluring redux of Bram Stoker’s literary classic emerges from the shadows to give audiences an emotionally charged musical with plenty of chilling moments.

Review: JESUS AND JOHNNY APPLEWEED'S HOLY ROLLIN' FAMILY CHRISTMAS at The Grandel

JESUS AND JOHNNY APPLEWEED’S HOLY ROLLIN’ FAMILY CHRISTMAS is an irreverent musical comedy chuck full of laughs. While most of the jokes are related to changing times 7-decades ago, you don’t have to be a baby boomer to understand and appreciate Miller’s hysterical script. If you’re looking for funny, adult-themed holiday entertainment that is a complete diversion from more traditional holiday fare, JESUS AND JOHNNY APPLEWEED’S HOLY ROLLING FAMILY CHRISTMAS will certainly add some laughs to your holiday entertainment.
