After breaking the house record at the Barrymore Theatre six times during its run with a seven-performance-a-week schedule, Arthur Miller’s DEATH OF A SALESMAN will recoup its $3.1 million capitalization this week. As first reported on Deadline.com, Paramount Pictures will finance and distribute THE INTERN, a comedy written and directed by Nancy Meyers. Tina Fey is attached to star. Production on the film, to be produced by Scott Rudin, is expected to begin in early 2013. (more...)

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony®Awards including Best Musical, will launch the First National Tour in Denver from August 14-September 2 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Jujamcyn Theaters and True Colors Theatre Company have announced the 4th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition will take place on Monday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street). The event, which is free and open to the public, features high school students from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh and Seattle performing monologues by the late, legendary American playwright.
