Cincinnati Shakespeare Adds 12/21 Performance of EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's longest running 8 year smash hit, Every Christmas Story Ever Told again has done it again! Before even opening this Sunday night, several performances have already SOLD OUT. To help meeting this increasing demand, Cincinnati Shakespeare has added an additional performance of Every Christmas Story Ever Told on Saturday Dec. 21 at 2pm!

EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD Opens Sunday at Cincinnati Shakespeare

For the eighth straight year, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is thrilled to offer a full season of holiday cheer in just 90 minutes with "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)". This hilarious production is a non-stop holiday romp through everyone's favorite Christmas stories performed by just four actors in ninety minutes. Justin McCombs and Sara Clark, both now eighth year veterans of the company, return to poke fun at the holiday season, joined by Billy Chace, a seventh year company member. Miranda McGee, fifth year company member, returns to put her own special spin on Santa. CSC Artistic Associate, Jeremy Dubin, returns to the director's chair. This production is one of the most popular events in Cincinnati Shakespeare Company history breaking attendance and sales records every year. All tickets are $28, making this show an afford holiday treat. Audiences are encouraged to get their tickets soon!

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company teamed up with Xavier University to put on a great production of The Crucible. Overall, the cast worked seamlessly together with the professional actors from the Shakespeare Company and the XU students. Obviously, there is going to be a difference in ability but the students held their own against the strong cast provided by the Shakespeare Company.

The adaptation of Oliver Twist performed by the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company was lacking in many ways. What needs to be said first is that the acting, lead by Sara Clark and Kelly Mengelkoch, was great but the overall production had some issues that hindered my ability to fully enjoy the show.

Know Theatre has announced When The Rain Stops Falling by Andrew Bovell, acclaimed Australian playwright and author of Speaking in Tongues (recently seen at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2012). Time Out Magazine's Best New Play of 2010, When the Rain Stops Falling opens on February 8, 2013 and runs through March 16, 2013. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips will direct the production, with scenic and lighting design by Andrew Hungerford, costume design by Noelle Wedig, and sound design by Doug Borntrager.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company presents the 2012 Shakespeare in the Park Tour throughout the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, including the new Washington Park in OTR. CSC will present touring productions of "The Tempest" and "Macbeth" at local community parks and venues for audiences to enjoy at no cost beginning in August.
