East West Players (EWP) and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) have announced the Los Angeles premiere of the Broadway musical Allegiance, which had its 2012 world premiere in a record-breaking engagement at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego and played on Broadway from 2015-16 at The Shubert Organization's Longacre Theatre.

Back by popular demand, straight from the bright lights of Broadway to the big screen, and inspired by the true-life experiences of George Takei ("Star Trek," "Heroes"), Allegiance tells the moving story of one family, inspired by Takei's, whose life is upended by the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII.

After a hugely successful North-American premiere, Cineplex Events brings George Takei's ("Star Trek," "Heroes") Broadway musical Allegiance back to Canadian theatres for an encore on Sunday, February 19 at 6:30p.m. local time. This date is the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, known as the Day of Remembrance, which marked the beginning of the forced relocation and internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII.

After an unprecedented cinematic premiere resulting in the highest-grossing one-night Broadway musical event to date for Fathom Events, George Takei's ("Star Trek," "Heroes") Broadway musical Allegiance returns to cinemas nationwide for an encore on Sunday, February 19 at 12:55 p.m. local time.

New York Wine Events is pleased to announce that the 8th Annual New York City Winter Wine Festival featuring over 250 wines curated by the experts of Vintry Fine Wines will return to Times Square at the PlayStation Theater (formerly The Best Buy Theater) on Saturday, February 4, 2017. General admission sessions will be held at 3:30-6pm and 8-10:30pm. New York Wine Events is pleased to announce its 4th Annual NYC Autumn Wine Festival will be returning to NYY Steak in midtown Manhattan on Saturday, November 19. General admission sessions will be held at 2:30-5pm and 7:30-10pm. A special Premium Early Access ticket offers guests the option of walking the upscale food and wine event one hour earlier than the rest of the crowd, commencing at 1:30pm for the afternoon session and 6:30pm for the evening.

The event, in association with Zinfandel Advocates & Producers (ZAP), features an array of California's leading Zinfandel producers pouring over 75 different wines. The event features legendary wineries that have helped make Zinfandel into California's cult grape, plus rising stars that are carrying the Zinfandel into the future.

On Saturday, May 7, the 2nd Annual NYC Spring Wine Festival moves to a new venue, NYY Steak in Midtown Manhattan. On Friday, May 13, the 9th Annual New Jersey Spring Wine Festival returns to the Hilton Short Hills from 7-10pm. Finally, on Saturday, May 21, the 2nd Annual Brooklyn Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival: Spring Edition returns to Industry City's Factory Floor in Sunset Park Brooklyn. The Brooklyn and NYC events, curated by Vintry Fine Wines, feature a choice of two tasting sessions: Afternoon: 2-5pm or Evening: 7-10pm.

ALLEGIANCE plays its final performance on Broadway today, February 14, 2016. Performances began at the Longacre Theatre on October 6, 2015, and the production officially opened on November 8, 2015. At the time of its closing, the musical will have played 37 previews and 113 regular performances, and will have been seen by approximately 120,000 people, a number that eerily echoes the number of Japanese Americans who were directly impacted by the events that inspired the show.
