On Tuesday, Pajama Program launched the One Million Good Nights nationwide initiative to collect one million new pajamas, one million new books, and the resources needed to get them in the hands of children and adolescents in need here in the U.S. The campaign begins today, October 1(st), when temperatures begin to drop and 'Danger Season' starts for these children. The campaign continues until December 31, 2015. Pajama Program's major partners in the One Million Good Nights initiative are Carter's, Inc., Scholastic Inc., and Sprout. The New York City launch event is hosted by Pajama Program board member Carla Hall of ABC's 'The Chew,' and features a performance by Sadie Sink, currently performing in Broadway's 'Annie,' and volunteers reading and distributing new pajamas to children.

ANNIE, the critically acclaimed new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, celebrates one year on Broadway with this evening's performance. ANNIE began preview performances at the Palace Theatre (Broadway and 47th Street) on October 3, 2012, and opened on November 8, 2012.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced additional casting and creatives for the 25th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

BROADWAY ON THE HUDSON concert, presented by United Airlines, took place in lower Manhattan on September 27th at Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza (220 Vesey Street between North End Avenue and West Street). The free outdoor concert was hosted by Justin Guarini, who is currently playing Paris in the new Broadway production ofWilliam Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Krysta Rodriguez, who plays serial-dater Casey in the new musical comedy, First Date. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that, Kirsten Wyatt will take over for J. Elaine Marcos as 'Lily St. Regis' in ANNIE on Broadway. Marcos will play her final performance on September 29, and Wyatt will join the cast October 1.

The producers of ANNIE announced this evening that the show will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Upon closing, the production, which opened on November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street), will have played 487 performances and 38 previews.
