HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING will go on a two day hiatus tomorrow, July 7 and Friday, July 8, to accommodate Daniel Radcliffe's previously scheduled Harry Potter promotional obligations in the UK. Potter premieres in Trafalger Square in London tomorrow, July 7. HOW TO SUCCEED will resume performances on Saturday, July 9 for the 8pm performance only as regularly scheduled. Warner Brothers bought out the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for these dates to get Radcliffe to London for the event. (more...)

The highly anticipated new Potter film, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART TWO premiered in Trafalger Square in London today, for which Radcliffe flew overnight after his 2 show day on Wednesday to make. As previously reported, Wednesday night was to mark the 100th performance of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, but after a delay of just over one-hour, the show was cancelled. The audience was informed twice via announcements that there was a delay, followed by an onstage apperance by Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette who told the audience that the performance would not be taking place, citing a "tragedy within the company." It has since been revealed that the tragedy was the death of a 29-year old carpenter for the show due to an apparent accidental drug overdose (the official cause of death has not yet been declared). The stagehand's name has not been released and an investigation took place at the show's home at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre today. The LA Times has now reported that according to one law enforcement official, "at least a dozen packets that had contained heroin" were found in the stagehand's work area. The man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital last night. (more...)

General rush tickets become available beginning at 10AM at the Al Hischfeld Theatre on June 22. Fans are encoured to line up earlier to save their place. (more...)

BROADWAY BARES XXI: MASTERPIECE, which is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, was held, June 19, with two performances only (9:30 PM and midnight) at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). With the opening of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING happening just a few weeks ago, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is in the news yet again with the release of the theatrical trailer for the upcoming summer blockbuster: 'The Deathly Hallows Part II.' According to Daily Mail, GLEE star Chris Colfer is rumored to replace Daniel Radcliffe as J. Pierrepont Finch in the Broadway production of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. Colfer is best known for his portrayal of Kurt Hummel on Glee, for which he has received several nominations and awards, including the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in 2011. (more...)
